Our very special Lanna Weddings are set at Galae House Lanna Village, a collection of lovely historic Lanna buildings, surrounded by old trees with huge spreading branches. The wide terrace in between the houses forms the main stage for exchanging wedding vows and is decorated with traditional style banners and lanterns.


In the afternoon the couple enjoys a cruise along the Maeping River with a stop at a local village. Later in the evening, a romantic candlelit dinner, with fusion cuisine in the elegant teak wood setting of the hotel's speciality restaurant, is a gourmet experience.

The next morning, after rising early to offer alms to the monks from the local temple, the couple plants a tree in the resort's tropical gardens. In the years to come, this grows into a mature tree and symbolises the blossoming of the couples love for one another. The newly weds then enjoy a sparkling wine breakfast in their room.

• Flower garlands and two ladies dressed in northern Thai costume, scattering flowers as you enter the resort
